The Minister of Higher Education, Training & Innovation Dr. Itah Kandji–Murangi visited RVTC on 19 April 2023. This was the second visit of high profile personnel RVTC received within a week. The Honorable Minister was received by RVTC Centre Manager with whom they proceeded to meet the Management.
After the Management meeting the Minister addressed the entire RVTC community (staff and trainees) in a fully packed Erick Tjandja hall. She encouraged trainees to work towards the finishing line with no delays. “If your program takes three years to be completed, why should you take four years to complete it? Realize why you are here; you are here because of training. Reach the finishing line” added the Minister.
She further informed the trainees not to be on one direction but rather get basics of other trades to make things easier for them in the technical world. As the world have transformed into digital with Namibia not excluded, she encouraged the trainees to make use of internet in order for them to learn more. The use of natural resources was not omitted in her speech. The green hydrogen which is making headlines in the country were part of her package of the information given to both trainees and staff members.
The Minister acknowledged RVTC being one of the Centre producing the best in the country.
