Rundu VTC welcomed new trainees who started their classes this September. The group which supposed to have been registered in June 2021 was delayed due to COVID19 restriction after the country went on lock down. Registrations were delayed and only started end of August 2021. Following COVID19 protocol regulations, only level 1 trainees and management members were in the hall to welcome the trainees. This limited the number to 72 in total.
The TRC Vice President, Acting Head of Trainee Support, Head of Finance and Administration and Head of Training are among the staff who joined the Centre Manager in motivating the trainees. Discipline was the keyword which was not missed by each speaker during the event. “Respect your staff members and yourselves” said Moses Ndara the TRC Vice President. Mr. Ilukena Matengu acting HoTS explained the role of the department in supporting trainees. “we are here to support you to ensure that your training becomes a success” added Matengu. Matengu cautioned about wearing attires with RVTC logo in places like clubs and shabeens. The Finance department represented by its Head Mrs. Priscah Neo explained the loan operations and also stressed the issue of cleanliness. Let’s keep RVTC clean by all means said Mrs. Neo.
The core business of RVTC is training. The Head of Training Mr. Malwa encouraged the trainees to study hard and report to the TRCs any issue hindering their training. As level 1 listened attentively to the chief of training address, Malwa stressed the issue of keeping the performance high in order to continue the tradition of RVTC being number 1.
The address by the Centre Manager touched on many points for the benefits of the trainees. The issue of discipline was stressed by RVTC Centre Manager Kornelius Lukas. The global pandemic of COVID19 couldn’t be ignored. Lukas encouraged the trainees to go for vaccination willingly and to continue following health protocols. He reminded the new trainees that RVTC may look so beautiful from where they are but it’s not a bed of roses. “Take stock of yourself and identify the gaps. We want you to be good examples to the rest of the world” added Lukas.
Level 1, welcome to RVTC.
