Rundu VTC held its retreat from the 12th - 13th April 2023. The event which took place in Katima Mulilo was officially opened by the Centre Manager Mr. Kornelius Lukas. Lukas who outlined the need of the retreat was happy to see that majority of the staff members in attendance. Out of 74 staff members, only 4 couldn’t attend due to situations beyond their control as apologies were accepted.
In his statement Lukas said the idea of having the retreat out of the workplace was to avoid disturbances on the vital exercise. “This session is important as it will give us directives on our operations for the next months and years. The session is also intended to rectify fault-lines in view to inform the setting of priorities that our business plan will pursue” added Lukas.
The retreat much focused on the business plan in order for the staff members to understand the operations of the institution. The Business Plan Report for 2022/2023 was also given in order to inform the staff members on the achievements of the previous financial year.
The theme of the event was “Embracing change in times of uncertainty”
